Hillingdon Winter Playday – Information from the Local Authority
Winter Playday is a free fun event for families in Hillingdon. Taking place in the Pavilions Shopping Centre on 13th February from 10 am to 4 pm. The event will include information stalls from a range of organisations as well as free activities including dance tasters, story time, arts and crafts, sport activities and more.

Fizz Free February – Information from the Local Authority
In the month of February, Hillingdon Community Dental Service are taking part in 'Fizz Free February' which aims to encourage everyone to think about reducing the number of fizzy drinks they are drinking and giving them up.
Some facts:
They are holding an event at Botwell Green Library for parents/carers and children on Wednesday 7th February (information in flyer below) with a display and a presentation. Also attached is a poster with help finding an NHS Dentist and our oral health website which contains lots of useful information about keeping teeth healthy.
This term, the Year 6 pupils have been introduced to Electricity in their Science classes. This topic will spark the interest of the pupils as they will be doing several experiments in order to develop their scientific skills. The pupils’ curiosity was aroused as they displayed great enthusiasm inquiring about various ways to create static electricity. One of them even said she usually never enjoys Science but this has been one of her best and interesting lessons.

The Centre for ADHD & Autism Support are delighted to be offering a new NWL parent/carer drop-in support group, held on Zoom on Wednesday evenings and Monday mornings for those whose children/young people are or are suspected to be ADHD/autistic.
Luke Temple, a passionate children’s author, visited our school on 15th January 2024. During his visit, he conducted exciting literature workshops, which ignited the pupils’ appetite for reading and writing. The children received valuable insights into the creative writing process and the inspiration behind his many books. Over 100 of our pupils held intellectual conversations with him during the book signing event, which took place the following day.
‘Neverland’s Magic’ came to life to end the term with a big bang, as a captivating Peter Pan Production was held at the school hall. The lead roles were expertly portrayed by professionals, who embodied the spirit of the drama with boundless energy and charisma. The chemistry between the cast members was evident, creating authentic and heart-warming moments throughout the production. As the final curtain fell, the hall erupted in applause, a testament to the exceptional talent and effort invested in the production.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on December 6th 2023, for our enchanting Nursery and Reception Christmas Carolling Assembly! The air was filled with the sweet melodies of the season as our little ones serenaded us with their joyful voices. It was a heartwarming celebration that truly captured the spirit of Christmas. Thank you for making it a memorable event!
Our budding Year 3 Geologists, embarked on an investigation to uncover the mysteries of rocks and minerals. Through hands-on activities, interactive experiments, and engaging lessons, our young learners are discovering the formation, characteristics, and uses of various rock types. Be prepared for your children to share newfound knowledge about sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks with enthusiasm and excitement. This journey promises to be both educational and immensely enjoyable for all involved.
Earlier this week, a group of Year 6 children participated in a Bikeability Safer Cycling Course which enabled them to complete Level 1 and 2 combined. Congratulations to all those children who took part and well done for passing the course!
