Battle of Britain Bunker Trip – Year

Our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic opportunity to visit the Battle of Britain Bunker as part of their history learning this term. Chestnut class visited on Tuesday 4th February, while Oak class explored the site on Thursday 13th February 2025. During their visit, pupils stepped back in time to learn about the critical role the bunker played during World War II. They discovered how the RAF personnel worked tirelessly underground to coordinate the defence of Britain, gaining a real insight into the challenges faced during the Battle of Britain. From seeing historical artefacts to engaging in interactive sessions, the trip brought history to life in a truly memorable way. Well done to all pupils for their enthusiasm and excellent behaviour throughout the visit!
