  • Empathy Day

    Published 23/06/23

At Hewens Primary School, we believe that Empathy isn’t just important, it’s everything. Rather than celebrate Empathy Day on the 8th June, we celebrated it throughout the week! The week started with the children attending an assembly, where they learned more about empathy by developing their empathy skills before putting them into action. Other activities throughout the week included children creating their very own empathy superpower glasses, which they used whilst having their empathy power book read aloud. A highlight for most of the children was the empathy exchange discussions as they enabled the children to walk in someone else’s shoes. Well done to all the children who participated in all the activities throughout the week.
